TC the Terrible

Last night THE WOMAN and I got to go on a date. Yeah, scared the shit out of us too. We caught a double feature and had a blast. The best line of the night came from the flick “Inside Man”.

Dalton Russell (Clive Owen): Soon I’m gonna be sucking down pina coladas in a hot tub with six girls named Amber and Tiffany.
Keith Frazier (Denzel Washington): No, it’s more like in the shower with two guys named Jamal and Jesus.. and that thing you’re sucking on? It’s not a pina colada!

Followed closely by:

Keith Frazier (Denzel Washington): Last time someone pulled my Johnson that hard it cost me five dollars.
Captain John Darius (Wilem Dafoe): Five dollars?
Keith Frazier (Denzel Washington): I was in Tijuana. It’s a long story.

The movie is about a bank robbery that goes wrong, sort of. A good intellectual thriller that the kids will soon get bored with. I’d give it one thumb up and one sort of in the middle.

He’s no Pujols, but it looks like Ryan Church may have slowed down the Nationals’ sophomore slump. The District is not nearly as jazzed this season about the team and we all should have known that was coming. You can only have a first season about once every forty years. The first season in the new stadium will be a big deal, but other than that, it’s time for the Nationals to win some games if they expect to see a packed house.

THE WOMAN and I played a full 18 holes yesterday for the first time this year. I didn’t break 100 (big surprise there) but I did have 13 or 14 really good holes. It took six strokes to get out of the bunker on the first, but for the rest of the front side I was on the green in two on every par 4. I hit the green in three on the only par 5 across the front. The back nine was tougher play with me having two holes that went straight down the crapper. The up side of the day is that my driver is starting to groove in, and despite the fact that I could not hit a cow in the ass with my 3-wood my long irons looked like rockets coming out of the rough. Over all, it was a really good day.

Our buddies over at the Post are always spanking Republicans, so it comes as no shock that they are declaring pink to be the new red. Normally I’d blow off their attempts at making the administration look bad since they keep about a dozen people on staff for that one reason, but today George Will got in on the bashing too. Something has to be wrong with the GOP if G.W. is kicking them in the ass.

That hurts.
