I Hate Liberals

I cover this topic the other day, but it needs to be said again. Liberals are trying to tax my relaxation.

It’s not like they haven’t already taxed everything else anyway, so why not price my cigar habit out of my price range. A 20,000% tax increase is a good reason to start a revolution. And the money would go to spread the cancer of socialized medicine in our nation. Nice.

I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Nearly everyone in this country can get health care if they need it. Don’t believe me, then explain how illegal aliens can get health care when they aren’t supposed to be in this country in the first place. Kids need insurance, but it is their parents’ responsibility to provide it, not the Federal Governments’.

This plan is just another way to digger deeper into the pockets of Americans. It’s hard to argue against it because cigars can be bad for you and no one wants to look like they are being mean to sick kids. So the liberals that think they can spend your money better than you can are all over this one. They have a sure fire way to get more of your money.

If you don’t smoke cigars don’t think that you are not going to be affected by this new tax. With Democrats in charge of Congress they’ll be coming after everything soon enough. Next week it’ll be your cable television. Then the week after that it will be your Internet access. No telling where they’ll go from there.

Remember, when you vote against a President but not for someone of real moral character, this is the type of Congress you will get. One that is intent on pushing an agenda that goes against the basic principals espoused in the Constitution, and is bent on staying in power despite the cost.

Iraqi Success Story Spoiled

I know that the reporters that work for the Post are sworn to swear that they are not biased in their reporting and that their editors don’t pressure them to slant articles.  But that’s a damned lie.  Take this excerpt from yesterday’s Post on line.

BAGHDAD — Tens of thousands of Iraqis from the Shiite south to the Kurdish-dominated north poured into the usually treacherous streets Sunday to celebrate a rare moment of joy and unity when the national team won Asia’s most prestigious soccer tournament.

Contrast that, with this clip from Breitbart.com.

Iraq erupted in joy and celebratory gunfire on Sunday when the country’s national football squad won the Asian Cup and united its bitterly divided communities in a rare moment of celebration. Thousands of Iraqis, including members of the security forces, defied a strict government ceasefire order to welcome the team’s 1-0 victory over local rivals Saudi Arabia with an intense barrage of gunfire.

Both were feed stories that were picked up by other outlets, but notice the difference in the tone.  It’s like the Post can’t believe that anything can go right in Iraq.  As much as the POTUS may be in denial,  so is the Post only in reverse.   If Christ himself returned to Earth in Iraq they’d bitch that it was a Republican PR stunt.

Idiot.

Man, just when I think that it’s safe to start reading the Post again I go and do something stupid. Like clicking on the latest editorial from Eugene Robinson.

I quit reading his stuff a few months back when I realized that he really is a bigot, and not doing some lame character shtick. The thesis for all of his “work” is simple. If you are white you deserve to be treated badly, in public. If you are a Republican you should be tried as a criminal. And found guilty.

But now he’s crossed into new territory. He’s calling out anyone that is not thrilled with Barry “the Cream” Bonds. The guy doesn’t even follow baseball and he’s bashing the people that do for not wanting a cheater to hold the most game’s most cherished record. People could care less that Bonds is an asshole. The problem is Bonds cheated, got caught, lied about it, and shows no remorse for having done any of those three things.

Robinson needs to go back to bashing white people and leave the baseball editorials to George Will.

Some People Are Never Pleased

You know, now that DC finally has a major golf event it would only seem to make sense for everyone to be happy about it. But no, the damned Post is complaining today that the golfers make more than the charities do. The question should be how much would those same groups be getting if the pros had to play for free. The answer of course is nothing.

This is a win-win for everyone involved for the next couple of years. Why can’t the leading paper in this town just shut up and enjoy it?
