TC the Terrible

A few days ago I asked my loyal readers to weigh in on what to do with the Barry Bonds baseball. You guys responded and pushed the vote over the top. An overwhelming majority of you (at least as many as voted for Bill Clinton back in the day) thought that branding the baseball with a big red astertik. Which is being more polite than the ‘roid boy deserves. If cramming the ball up Bond’s ass had been a choice I can only imagine how the vote would have gone.

All in all the Hall of Fame is glad to have the ball.

“This ball wouldn’t be coming to Cooperstown if Marc hadn’t bought it from the fan who caught it and then let the fans have their say,” Hall of Fame President Dale Petroskey told The Associated Press. “We’re delighted to have the ball. It’s a historic piece of baseball history.”

But just to cover their collective ass, the HOF lawyers got the right words into print. In case Bonds ever choose to sue.

Petroskey said accepting the ball did not mean the Hall in Cooperstown, N.Y., endorses the viewpoint that Barry Bonds used drugs.

Ten million people voted to put the brand on the ball. According to my un-named source over four million of those came from this site alone. Not shabby, but I wonder why the rest of you didn’t take the time to vote.

It’s Friday. I’m at the office. THE WOMAN is out of town. FDSM is home sick. My thesis paper is a week behind schedule. Do really think I’ve got time for this blogging shit?

But I know how heart broken all three of you will be if’n I don’t give you my thoughts for the day. And God forbid I let you down.

• J-E-T-S fans are pissed. Maybe Commissioner Goodell should have beheaded Bill Belichick. Then the Patriots would have only won by two touchdowns last week. The dangling-arm Chad is weak. Get on with your life.
• The bad guy was killed by the police. Consider this proof that there is a God, and He is good.
• Thinking outside the box, the Japanese have decided they can build golf courses on the moon cheaper than here on Earth. Good for them. Now I can get better tee times at General’s Ridge. Let’s just hope they beat Google.
• The Post hates on W. Here. Here. And, you guessed it, here. But Petraeus can put them all in check. The bitches at MoveOn.org might need to watch their asses.
• First he was a killer. Now he’s a thief. What’s next for OJ, kiddie porn?
• A mountain bike for you kids? Sure. One that costs $450? You must be smoking some really good crack. My first car barely cost that much. And that fucker’d do a hundred thru the 1/4 mile.
• TV is a wasteland, but we still watch. What does that say about us? Try reading a book for Chirst’s sake. I recommend starting with The Dangerous Book for Boys
• Good, fast or cheap.  The Silver Line isn’t going to be any of those three.  If Metro can’t pay the bills now, and refuses to look for a part time job, then why bother with new track?  If the cabbies at Dulles could speak English like good Americans they’d be throwing a shit fit over the competition for all those high dollar fares.

Now go forth and piss off your cube mates.

While some people out there in the blog world are worried about me living in suburbia, I’m worried about the rest of the world.

•  Has anybody else noticed that Russia is getting ready to act the fool again?  Putin may not be a Stalin, but he’s going to control Europe one way or the other before all is said and done.
• K-Fed is the good parent?  That’s another reason our boys are so fucked up these days/
• Seventy five percent of Americans didn’t read a book last year.  But parents bitch about kids being dumber these days.  Think that there’s a cause and effect relationship there?
• Michael Vick, dog killer, wants to know when he can play football again.  The NAACP wants him to be able to play even while he’ in jail, because everyone fucks up and needs another chance to do it again.  Right.  Where were these guys when the Duke lacrosse players were being fed to the wolves?  Oh yeah, no where to be found because those players were rich white kids that clearly were guilty until proven innocent.  Well, guess what?  They really were innocent and your boy Vick really was guilty.  Deal with it.
• Can kids create a better society when there are no adults around?  I doubt it.   Didn’t the producers at CBS ever see that episode of Star Trek?  It didn’t turn out well for the kids if memory serves me.

And you guys wonder why I’m worried.
