How do I know that it’s Sunday?  Because at staff call yesterday the Chaplain told us that today would be Sunday and that all of us needed to be at 0900 services.  The Old Man backed him up, so this morning we’re all going to church.   That’s the way it works in the Army.

There’s free coffee at church too.  Which is another great reason to go.  Speaking of free coffee (notice the subtle segue) Green Bean Coffee is the main coffee house here in Southwest Asia.  They have a program called A Cup of Joe for a Joe (click here) that sends free coffee to troops that sign up.  Some of our guys are getting two and three free cups a week.  You might be surprised at how big a deal that is.  Not the coffee so much as the fact that someone was thinking about us.  It’s only two bucks.  Give it a try.

Not much else going on here.  The elections are hours away and all seems good on that front.
