Feeling much more like a Soldier today.
I got up at the butt ass crack of dawn today, after going to bed at 0200, to spend five minutes in a line to make sure that my small pox vaccination had worked. It did.
Then some cold eggs with biscuits and gravy before going to play with simulated nerve agents. That’s pretty cool stuff, as was the medical training. The fake wounded dudes really did bleed and had VERY realistic looking/feeling burns and protruding bones.
Did I mention that it’s cold as shit down here? I should have. Cause it is. The low last night was 14 degrees. Made the high today of 48 feel like mid-August.
Maybe all it takes to feel like a Soldier is to be cold, wet, tired and get to play with some cool shit.
