Here’s the problem with taking money from all those fat cat executives in banking and insurance.  If you quit paying them, the executives will all quit and go into something that will pay them.  Very few of us do our jobs out of pure love.  We all learned in our twenties the light company doesn’t want to be paid in hugs and warm feelings.  They want cash.

If Obama continues to cut back the pay of top executives then we’re going to end up with the lowest bidder running the major economic engines of the nation.  Eventually – to save industry from collapse we’ll be told – the government will step in to run those businesses.  Just like they’ve done with Chrysler, GM and soon enough your health care plan.  In a generation or so the White House and Congress will be in charge of everything. 

And the America your Grandfather fought so hard to build and preserve for you will be gone.  This is might not be the change you voted for – but it is the change you got.  I hope you’re happy now.
