Did I Mention This Before?
Ominous words no doubt. And really the last thing that you want to hear as you're rounding second base on the first date. But that's another story for another day.
Anyway. I don't recall if I have previously mentioned that THE WOMAN and I have decided to adopt. We started the initial paperwork a few months ago after buying our new house in the 'burbs. After all the home visits and and background checks we finally got word two weeks ago that we were approved. Since then pretty much all of our free time as been tied up checking out the little bundles of love on all the different web sites. Tomorrow we're headed up to Maryland to check out a possibility and see if he'll be a good fit for our clan.
Yeah, yeah I know. We have a houseful now so why the hell do we want another mouth to feed? Truthfully - THE BOY and I are tired of being out numbered. Another boy in the house will even the odds. Always a good thing.
Wish us luck.

Why didn’t you tell me? I’m available for adoption and somedays I even earn my keep.
Dude, we all love you trust me when I say that. But we also know the baggage you come with. And none of us are big enough to change that diaper. Know what I mean?

I too live in a house where I am outnumbered… 5:1 and it gets tough. I am not sure another mouth will help… he may turn on you.

Congratulations! I didn’t know y’all were adding to the family. Jeff and I have discussed having kids. He’s been fixed, but is considering having it reversed. We’ve also considered adoption. It’s a big decision. I’m sure you’ll find the perfect bundle of joy. Keep us informed.
