Here's the deal.  Hillary was/is the Democratic Party's best chance at winning the White House next year.  No doubt.  Obama is this race's obligatory "minority candidate with a chance" and that's about all he is.  The GOP is a fucking mess, but they can still win and here's why.

The Democrats have already proved they can't stop the war in Iraq.  Now they're kicking the shit out of the one person that might have been able to overcome that fact. Matt Drudge beating her up is all well and good, after all he's the first one to take Bill's Blow Job public.  But even other Dems are taking shots and all she can come back with is "they're the ones that went negative first" crap.

To make the matter more clear, even the Post is pointing out the flaws in the Democratic Congress.  Notice that it was Choen and Dionne Jr doing the hatchet job, not Will.  This is not a good thing for Hillary.  Her one strength has been her ties to power.  Now that power is being exposed for the farce that it always was.

The nation isn't as concerned with universal health care as it was 15 years ago when it failed to gain support the first time.  To date Hillary hasn't put forth a real plan on Iraq, gas prices, the mortgage crisis, or public education.  All of those things mean more to the average American.  So far all we have from Hillary is the traditional "I'm not Bush" sales pitch.  Ruddi and Romney aren't Bush either, and they are the ones shes' running against.

Someone should remind her of that.
