The fine folks over at Verizon have a great service for customers that are moving.  They actually allow you to go to the website and set up when your service is shut off at your current home and when it will be turned on at the new home.  The only problem is — it doesn’t work.

Our phones were cut off a month early.  The work order on line clearly says 5/19, and the tech rep at Verizon admits that.  Still they cut them off on 4/19.  Real rocket scientists that bunch.  Long story short is that after two hours on my cell we got the phone turned back on.  The number is wrong.  The DSL can’t be turned back on until we get to the new house.  And our temp number may have to be changed again this week, but still not to our original number or to the number for the new house.

Big Fun.

Whose idea was it to break up the phone company anyway?
