An old man (he must have been at least 40) told me when I was a kid that if you couldn't make your house note out of the first check each month you had bought too much house. As hard as that is to do these days it does make a lot of sense. THE WOMAN and I aren't quite there with this mortgage, but we should be in the next couple of years. I hope. I agree.
