Monday morning and the mourning is all but over at our house. Memphis got crushed Saturday and THE WOMAN took it so hard she had to buy a three new rooms of furniture Sunday to make herself feel better. We needed the furniture, so it’s not a total waste. To be honest I had OSU getting the win in my bracket the whole time.
One of the things I love about DC is the diversity of opinion. Take for example how one study shows that a 1/3 of the residents can’t read or write, while another calls DC “a hub of knowledge workers.” Are we talking about the same town? Or did the first survey include elected officials? Maybe the second took all of us from NOVA in to account when compiling the data. Or maybe the Post is just trying to sell papers.
People bitch when there’s three families of Mexican workers living in the same house, but those may be the smart ones after all. It seems that mortgage brokers tricked Mexicans into buying houses and are now getting ready to put them in the street. Guess that’s good news for those of looking to pick up houses on the cheap. Bad for the people that thought they could get by in this country without speaking English.
