How many of your brackets are already busted?  I can promise that about twice as many are busted as you guys are going to admit to. 

See, that's the problem with the experts and teams that are from "tough" leagues with "big" reputations.  They put shitty teams on the court like everyone else, but nobody ever calls them on it.  Hell Duke should have won yesterday just for driving the team bus into the arena parking lot.   If you listen to Dick V and the rest.  Those guys really know basketball.

That's why good teams can go unnoticed all year.  And it's why the system for the NCAA men's tournament is busted.  When a 7-9 Arkansas can make the tourney and a winning team like Drexel has to sit at Hooters and watch. It comes down to the fact that March Madness is no longer about which team is the best in the nation.

It has become about which set of teams can generate the most money for the biggest schools and networks.  If it was about the best team then why not let Memphis square off against Ohio State today? Why even have teams in the Big Dance that can't win their conference tournament.  Because the BCS schools want all the damned money.  And since they control things ESPN and CBS are all too willing to cave in to the corporate peer pressure.  That's why they show so many crappy games over the course of the season and hype them so hard.  It's part of the overall plan to make the fans think that the big money schools are the best teams.

It's all part of the deception of the media.

It seems I’m always late to the party.

The gang over at Best DC Blog is running a poll to determine the BEST DC Blog by the Sexiest DC Hetero Male and yours truly has been nominated. Well, at least I was. It seems that I was cast off the island a couple of rounds ago. Of course I didn’t find out about the poll until I had already lost. Bummer for me.

At least I was nominated, and that’s always an honor. Bullshit. I’d have wanted to win this just like every one else on the list. How in the hell I could get cut before Big Head Rob? That’s like the having to take a fat girl to your senior prom.
