I was out of town (again) for work and to be honest, just didn't feel like saying anything.  The older I get the less and less I like to travel for work.  Spending my day sitting in an airport full of pretentious pricks gets on my last nerve.  Everyone has a Blackberry/cell phone/laptop out acting like they are doing important business.  None of them really are.  They just have zero self esteem and a deep seeded need for the validation of strangers.  The people that are doing important things wireless-ly are doing them in a professional manner, not at the top of their lungs in the middle of the American Eagle waiting area.

Do you really think the decision to fire the Commanding General of Walter Reed was discussed in public?  Of course not.  It might have been discussed on a cell phone, but not at a volume that anyone would have noticed.  People talking about non-sense like where Jesus was/was no buried with his wife and son, whores selling their Outlook Contact list , or Al Gore's latest South Park-ish Man-Bear-Pig tirade are the ones that you hear talking.

But if you are flying American Eagle you have to do something while you are waiting on your next possible flight.  My flight out of Reagan was canceled for mechanical repairs, then the flight I was bumped to sat at the gate for nearly two hours getting fixed before I could board.  Then on the way back to Reagan I went through the three bump dump again.  In fact, my flight out left later than the one after it did.  ARRRGGGGG!!!!

Thank God/Buddha/Yoda that I don't have any travel this month.
