It was a rough week last week, just in case you were wondering.
THE WOMAN's family was here for the first part of the week. And before they left MY side of the family arrived. It was only tense for an hour or so, but that was more than enough – trust me. By the time that all of the family was gone, and SDFM on her way to see her friends, real disaster struck. This year's strain of the 72 hour flu hit our home. Fortunately for us, THE WOMAN and I both caught it at the same time.
It's a sad thing when all of the kids have someplace else to be on New Year's Eve and the two of us were ready to turn in before 9:00 p.m. But that was the final night of the chills so it worked out well in the end.
I got almost nothing accomplished that I had intended to once the house was restored to normal, but I've got an extra day off becuase of Number 38's funeral. Maybe I can squeeze some of it in tomorrow. Unless of course the rain holds off, if that happens I intended to honor Gerald Ford by playing a round of golf. I think he would have wanted me to remember him that way.
