I’m not sure what the suits (or in our case robes) upstairs have cooking today, but it is way too quiet down here in the bowels of the building.

  • The gnomes in the entertainment news branch are clearly having a good week.  The mindless herd at water coolers are still distracted by Brittney Spears coochie.  At this point I’m bored with it.  I mean K-Fed left all kinds of fungi in it so the next guy is going to get screwed more ways that one.
  • I had no idea that we had a section working on news and web sites for atheists in the military.  I wonder where they fall on the org chart.
  • If someone was plotting to shoot Chavez it wasn’t one of ours.  It must have been a free-lancer.
  • Out of Iraq by 2008?  Yeah that sounds about right according to the last set of briefing slides.  But this thing took on a life of its own after we got the ball rolling. It is going to be tough to get it to end on schedule AND with the outcome we originally planned for. I knew Rumsfeld would screw it up if we left him in charge for too long.
  • Isn’t it strange that L.A. even still has a newspaper?  I thought they were issuing Blackberries at birth now in the push to take the town totally paperless.

On the upside of things our branch got re-org’d last night.  I’ll be moving out of the swing space cube that I’ve been crammed into since I got here later this month.  And the best part is that the mouthy-assed bitch that sits across from me is being moved to the opposite end of our wing.  Nice.
