TC the Terrible

Well, looks like the fun is over.  Saddam is finally going to hang for crimes that he committed 20 plus years ago.  It should bring some closure to the first phase of the latest Gulf War.  If it were only that easy with the rest of it.  The coming civil war probably could not have been prevented, but it could have been delayed if we had been smart enough to have a puppet regime in place and ready to go when we started the shooting.

Despite the promises being made for the next 24 hours by every Democrat in the nation, we are in Iraq for the long term.  Kids that are learning to tie their shoes this week will be lacing up combat boots in the Middle East before we come home.  It’s time we got used to that idea.

Looks like I’ve finally got almost all the pieces that I need to get to work at my new job.  Still no telephone on my desk but that’s fine by me.  I pretty much hate having to deal with people on the phone since people can tell you lies on the phone and you have no proof that you have been lied to.  Not that anything like that has ever happened to me or anything.

Todd needs some closure it seems.  So yes, I am now the NEW GUY in this office and the NEW GUY from the last office is no longer their newest hire.  He did manage to skate my window seat when I moved out so at least he is starting to show some balls. So far he hasn’t screwed up in any way that’s enough for word to have made it back to me. 

The new Shuffle is pretty cool, but kind of a pain to operate in DC traffic while working a stick.  THE WOMAN falls deeper in love with her iMac every day.  That’s a really good thing, or would be if I could figure out how to map her to the rest of the network at home.  Then I could use up her printer ink like she does mine.

That’s enough for now.  I’ve got to find some real work to do before I go knucking futs.
