The world is a hard place to be. It's harder if you're stupid.

One of my college professors once said that every stereotype exists because there is a nugget of truth in them.  I hate the fact that he was right.  For 42 years I’ve been trying to be proud of my heritage as a Southerner without the stigma of being labeled as a redneck.  Now some ass-hole in Alabama has to go and live up to every fucking stereotype out there.

Police say a Marshall County teen raped his mother to get revenge on his brother.  Police say 19-year-old Gary Helms, Jr., raped his 45-year-old mother this past weekend at Willow Terrace Trailer Park. . .

And it gets worse.  The mother was passed out drunk when he attacked her.  And the whole thing started because he was in a fight with his brother over the brother’s girlfriend.  Shit.  Some.  People.

This is a prime example of why post-birth abortion should be legal until the kid turns 18.  It’s also another good reason why all kids should be forced to leave home at 18, or whenever the little pervert drops out of high school.  Because trust me, this kid was never in the advanced placement classes.

Another Monday morning sitting in the greatest cube in the National Capitol Region.  Actually it’s the last Monday morning in this cube for me.  If he’s smart (which I’m starting to question) NEW GUY will move in as I clear out and claim it for his own.  But he’s turned out to be so damn timid that he’ll probably fart around waiting for permission to move and get screwed out of it by somebody with a set of balls on them.  His loss.

For the past couple of weeks I’ve been supportive of protesters over at Gallaudet.  They don’t have a lot of options when it comes to colleges so if they don’t like the incoming administration then they should force the issue any way they can.  But I do hope they are ready for what they asked for.  Maybe they get somebody that they think will listen to them, or maybe they get someone that makes Jane K. Fernandes look like a saint.  Either way, they got their wishes now they have to run with the ball.

Or throw it like Tony Romo on Sunday night.  I’m no Cowboys fan, but it looks like the Big Tuna made the right call by benching Bledsoe last week. Hopefully the Redskins will follow his lead and let Jason Campbell start learning to lead the team.  Another couple of games like the one yesterday and we can hand the year over to the Giants.  Philly was the only other team to have a shot at the NFC East and they apparently have decided to put no effort into it.

I’m trying to pretend that I’m still working.  It’s not going very well.

My coffee mug is a reflection of me.  My final staff meeting is boring the hell out of me.
