One thing I neglected to mention earlier. For the past couple of weeks the Den and Pack leaders have been harping on the boys to leave all electronic gadgets at home for the campout. THE BOY is more than a tad bit literal, so he wanted to leave the cell phone home since it was ‘technology’. He was cool with not having a GameBoy or an iPod but thought a flashlight would be okay. After all bears might get in the camp and we would need the flashlight if that happened.

So, after weeks of preaching about no electronics on the camp out what do we find out when we get there? The whole damned camp ground is wireless. And you guys thought I was out of control when I carried a Blackberry. Gotta love it.
Well, it was quite the eventful weekend. THE BOY and I hit the woods a couple of hours behind schedule and had a hell of a time finding a semi-flat spot to pitch the tent. We had a great time building camp fires, creating flaming marshmallows, doing silly skits, and counting stars. Of course it was cold as a witch’s tit, but that was the only drawback. Everything else was exactly what we wanted it to be. It is a shame that my phone takes better pictures without a flash than my one-time-high-end digital camera.
