I’m sick and tired of people expecting the world to cater to them and their needs.  Now we have deaf people suing to get football games closed captioned in the stadiums.  What’s next, putting Braille on street signs?  Why don’t we just go ahead and close caption the radio too?  That way they can hear it while they drive.

Look, I don’t have a beef with deaf people.  Really.  And if they want closed captioning on the concourse screens then I don’t have a real issue with it.  But keep that shit off of my Jumbo-Tron.  The point of being at a game is being able to watch it in real time.  The rest of us are missing out on the things coming across the public announce system too.

Besides, have you ever watched close captioning for a live event?  Half the words are misspelled and there is always a twenty second delay between the person talking and the words appearing on the screen.  It’s like a bad kung-fu movie.  Closed captioning only works on taped TV shows and commercials.

So pay Dan Snyder his ten dollars a beer and enjoy the damned game.
