While it’s refreshing to hear that a big Internet company can admit to screwing up, or any big company for that matter, this time makes me scratch my head. After all, isn’t Facebook all about the hook-hp? So why are the users upset that their personal data was getting updated on the pages of their friends?

When dude dumps bitch, and changes his status everyone would see it. Now he’s back on the market and all the hotties that have been drooling for him know they are cleared to make a move. This should be seen as a good thing. It’s using technology to speed up the normal processes of relationships. Isn’t that what businesses are always trying to do with the Internet?

Facebook got it more right than wrong. They should have taken advantage of that and used it to crush guys like Xanga (already yesterday’s news) and MySpace.
