This from the front page of the afternoon Post.

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, initially survived an airstrike that targeted his hideout north of Baghdad Wednesday, then died on a stretcher as U.S. troops prepared to give him medical assistance.

Damn, the poor bastard had time to suffer. My heart bleeds for him. I wonder how long it took American Fighting Men as they “prepared to give him medical assistance.”?

Would he have been of more value alive? Sure he would have. The CIA could have gotten lots of information from him and there would be no chance to martyr him. But I’m an evil, evil white Repbulican that likes tax cuts. So you know I got pleasure out of al-Zarqawi rolling off of stretchers in pain.

More good news today. I’m going to get paid! The buttheads on the Hill finally got around to passing a spending bill for the military yesterday. That means that we’ll have the cash to meet payroll until the end of my current set of orders.

The Terrible family being fed is always a good thing.

As a true blue, die hard conservative I wish Tom DeLay would have had a more class in his going away address. He’s done more harm to the causes that he supports than he has good by not keeping his own house clean. DeLay should have left town months ago to take care of his pending court case and to allow new leadership the chance to get things back on course.

Maybe Alfonso Soriano should take over leadership of the House, or at least Frank Robinson. Soriano is still not thrilled at hanging out in left field all day, but he’s taking it out on the opposing teams with his bat. I’d rather watch Pujols go after BALCO Barry’s single season home run record, but that’s only because I watched Pujols when he was with the Memphis Redbirds.

The boss is out and I’m covering down on meetings for him the rest of the day.
