Yesterday was the celebration of two years of wedded bliss for me and THE WOMAN. The actual date of our anniversary was over the weekend and we did dinner at one of the better restaurants in DuPont Circle, Mark & Orlando’s. The food was top notch (we ate from the ‘formal’ menu downstairs) and even with drinks and a heavy tip the price was right.
But THE WOMAN insisted we not exchange gifts on the official day, basically because what she had bought me was still in-route. My gift for her had been at the house for several days, but I agreed that we could wait. Long story short, and lots of her screaming at UPS Customer Service omitted, the package arrived yesterday so we got to exchange gifts.
Mine to her was pretty simple, the iPod Nano that she had dropping hints for all spring. But her gift to me was sensational. THE WOMAN found me a Sony turntable! Which is the coolest damned gift she could have gotten me. I’ve been bitching and moaning about the movers busting mine ever since we got to DC.
Bottom line, she ROCKS! I made a good choice when I picked her out of the crowd at RusssianBrides.com.
