I took the weekend off. Did you even effin’ notice?

Good morning class. We have a new guy in the office today ( a ‘newbie’ so to speak) and I’ve been anointed as his sponsor. Which makes sense, since I was the one that recommended him for the job in the first place. I really hope this doesn’t blow up in my face and cramp my next promotion.

Most of my next two days will be spent getting him in-processed and acclimated to our not so crazy work routine. Hell, if I play my cards right I can dish most of my work over to him by the end of the week.

I wonder if that’s how it started with Rep. William J. Jefferson taking bribes? First you get a small thing, and then before you know it you end up with some complicated ass plan that supposedly keeps your hands clean, while you still get the cash. And can I point out that this is a Democrat, or would that be the wrong thing to do in this town?

Now that they’ve caught the two guys that escaped this weekend do you think that the DC jail will get tougher to break out of? Or will these two douche bags be on the inside teaching classes on how to evade the prison system?

The Nats swept a series? Now that is news sports fans. About damn time the home team pulled their act together.

The NHL is a fucking joke. Nobody missed them when they shut down for a season and clearly no one cares about them now either. Yeah, I know that attendance is up. That’s just the new factor at the first of the year. Next year will be the real story. When Arena Football has more people watching than the NHL playoffs that can not be a good thing in any way, shape, or form. “. . . the league continues to aspire to a national television audience, despite years of evidence that shows the NHL is a regional sport whose economics are attendance-driven.” That should be all the proof you need that I am right once again. Hockey does well in the North and in small market towns where there is no other team. That’s it. Quit trying to make it into something it can’t be.

The end of time is upon us.

Did you realize the Apocalypse may occur tomorrow? It might be time for an all night prayer vigil, or a block party with an orgy theme. All depending on your outlook on life.
