The thing I like about George Will is he puts it to you straight. Sometimes he uses really big words that most people can’t understand but he’s still laying it out there in your face, it just takes a Webster’s Collegiate to figure it out. He’s dead on target again today, and with dates and facts to back it up, on bilingual ballots. Why in the hell should we allow people to vote if they don’t even know the language? Voting is a sacred privilege in this nation and it needs to stay that way. If English is a foreign language to you then take your skanky ass back to whatever third world country you crawled here from. I’m getting really tired of this crap.

And when it comes to crap, did you see the new look on Clay Aiken last night? I know he’s trying to look more mature now that his post-Idol career is in the toilet but I don’t think coming eight inches worth of bangs down over your face is the way to do it. Not that the Taylor Hicks (predicted here – and every where else – yesterday) is doing any better in the looks department. I do think he’s the most watchable contestant on the show this year. Two hours was a ass-load of time to fill with drivel but it did lead to a couple of decent moments, the best of which was seeing Prince as the final surprise of the night. Of course having to explain to SDSM who he was took some of the pizzazz off the moment. And yes Freak, I’d still pay real cash to see McPhee work it out on the pole.

Nothing like having a boss looking over your shoulder to improve the quality of your work. Hell, I know I work harder, and blog less, when my boss is in the office. It seems that the Nats have decided that playing harder would be a good thing to do now that they have a real owner. Winning four of the last five is starting to put some asses back in the seats too. Maybe we can have a team chasing a title late this summer. Wouldn’t that be a hoot?

That’s it for the morning dose of goodness from me. I’ve got a briefing to give this morning to one of the high muckity mucks, so I better go start building it.
