Amen. With all the talk of immigrant rights and how to handle the flood of illegals in this country the fine people of Herndon have done something about it. They’ve voted for a law that makes it illegal to hang out in parking lots waiting for work. They made it damn clear that they want a town that they feel safe in, and one that they can be proud of. It may not be much, but it is a start.

Giving illegals a place to hang out and wait for work is like a teenage boy telling his girlfriend that he only wants to put the tip in. And that won’t really count as them going all the way.

Getting the tip in is his first step to full penetration. Giving illegals a place to hustle jobs is just the first step in giving them a legitimate status in the community.

I’m not really heartless about this folks. There are some good people in this country that broke into it. They may be willing to do the jobs that you and I are not. They may be willing to work for a couple of dollars a hour. But that does not make it right to let them come in and then stay here.

We have to protect the rights of the CITIZENS of this nation first and foremost. When people break into our country they begin immediately to see the benefits that you and I work hard to have. Taking something without paying for it is stealing. And when illegals use our roads, our schools, our hospitals, and our public works they are stealing from the rest of us. To include the immigrants that have come here legally and are doing the right things to become American citizens.

I really do feel like this is something that all the states should be moving on. It’s pretty clear that the Congress is too wrapped up in political games to do anything about it. With all the pent up frustrations in the nation something needs to be done quickly. This thing has the potential to make the race riots of the 1960s look tame in comparison.

Listen very carefully to what I said. Immigrants to this nation that want to come here under legal means and become productive members of OUR society should be made to feel welcome in the US of A. The people that break the law to be here should be rounded up, put in the back of a truck and shipped back home. Or better yet, send them to some other country.

If Iran gets out of hand we could just do a fly over and drop two or three thousand illegals on them. Let them figure out how to deal with the extra people in the system.

And that’s how I really feel about that.

You have to love an old geezer that says ‘Fuck you’ to the corporate powers of the District. Even if it did cost him a couple of million. Austin L. Spriggs is my new hero. He’s probably a couple of slices short of a whole pizza but that’s ok. What ever his reasons were for not selling out and giving up a fortune in the process, I love his attitude. He may be a rotten evil bastard, but for today he’s my hero.

One of the reasons THE WOMAN and I pulled pitch and moved out here two years ago (other than my orders to that affect) was the shitty shape of the Memphis schools. Hell, half the schools there were on the ‘Every Child Left Behind’ program. Now it seems that Memphis is not the only town growing illiterate kids by the handfuls. Pretty much the entire nation is sucking ass on geography. I get it that kids don’t know where some Euro-trash nations are, but how the hell can they not find the state that hosts Mardi Gras?

And when a principal points out simple statistics to make a point she’s forced to resign? And to resign from a school that parents fight to get kids into? That really sucks. For the record, when someone tells you that a certain thing was not part of their thought process for leaving a job you can bet your sweet ass it was the main reason for leaving the job.

I really doubt that the problem is isolated in the Asian kids at the school, in fact I’d go as far as saying it’s probably the white kids cheating and stealing. They’re setting the Asian kids up as patsies.

Maybe because the Asian kids were getting better scores, and could, you know, like find cool shit on the maps and stuff, you know like that.

Whatever.
