I think that I may have become a true snob since moving to DC, or it may be that my shallow side is coming to the surface.  The reason I bring this up is of something I noticed on my trip last week.  The people that live back in my old stomping grounds are a lot heavier than the people who live in and around the District.

Granted, the folks back home are nicer in general than my current neighbors.  So maybe there is a relationship between being fat and being nice.  I’d assume that pretty people are more likely to have people want to be around them, and thus have fewer reasons to be nice first.

Like I said, the shallow and snobby side of me is coming to the surface.

But, I’m not alone. THE WOMAN noticed it too.  And she went a step further by pointing out how depressing a place Memphis is now that we have been exposed to something else.  The entire town now seems small and dirty.  That’s not to say that we didn’t have a great time with our friends.  It’s just confirming Thomas Wolffe, you really can’t go home again.

More later.
