It’s a sad day when you realize that the number one search term used to find your blog is, “killed by horse sex”.  I vaguely remember something about that topic, but have no idea what I said. Anyway, more than a couple of readers found me that way yesterday, as did a couple using the search criteria of “Brett Favre gay fan”.

On the ride home yesterday it looked like baseball in the District was over.  The City Council had crapped all over the deal they signed last year by voting to not sign the deal after all.  Typical of the way this city works, it came as no real surprise to anyone.  And besides, this was going to give Northern Virginia a chance to have the team.  That would make getting to and from the games easier for everyone, and with zero political hassles.

This morning I wake up to find out that a stadium deal got worked out after midnight after all.  No telling what that deal has in it, or if Major League Baseball will approve it.  In my mind, baseball should tell the District to go F’ themselves and bring in an arbitrator to enforce the original deal.  Baseball as a sport went the extra mile when they re-worked parts of the deal last week, never having to do so in the first place.

I say give the team to the place that wants it the worst.  And a move to the suburbs would mean that the Nationals could keep the name and marketing that they’ve already invested in.

Back with more later.
