We are on a modified schedule at the office this week and of course there are a lot of people on leave this week. It’ll be tough to get all the things done that need doing between now and Friday.
THE SAILOR (SDFM) called last night. She needed some information to fill out her security clearance paperwork. She’s been through one week of the hard part and sounds like she’s doing ok, except for the usual lack of sleep and adjustment issues. It was really good to hear from her.
The ‘Skins pounded on the ‘Boys last night, just in case you missed it. Wilbon and Kornhieser are of course on the bandwagon in full force. I know I should be used to it by now, but it still amazes me how fickle the sports media in this town is. Some places stand behind the team no matter how lousy, but not us. It must have to do with the political nature of this town. Still, it’s good to smack the Cowboys around twice in one year, and this time they can’t call it a fluke. A 28 point lead is never a fluke.
I have a meeting to prep for now.

THE WOMAN took the kids and me to see KING KONG today. That is one kick ass movie. Great fight scenes, a real story and plot, Jack Black playing the straight role, and better than solid performances all the way around.
My official review will be up over at Nights and Weekend.com, if Halibut decides to use it.
