Saturday I made some comments about a story in the news in which a guy claimed he molested a girl while he was asleep.  His defense attorney even had a name for it, Sexsomnia, and claims that it has happened to him (suspect, not attorney) before.

I guess that I didn’t make my point very well because that Chicagoan felt like I was blaming the girl.  Looking back at the post I can see where that would have come from.  While I still think getting drunk and passing out in strange places is never a good idea, she shouldn’t have been treated this way.  And it is very cheesy for dude to say he did it in his sleep. If the two of them had been in bed and naked, then his story might have had a bit of merit.  Anyone who’s had a steady bed partner for a length of time has woken up after things have gotten started, especially after a few drinks.

To claim that he slept through disrobing, taking her clothes off, finding and putting on a condom all before waking up is something out of a science fiction novel.  I hope that clears that up.

SDFM (i.e. MY BABY) got dropped off at the recruiter’s station a few minutes ago.  She went into panic mode once or twice this weekend, but is doing really well.  Her departure point is only an hour or so up the road, so I’m headed out in the morning to swear her into the service.

More later.
