As Don King would say, ‘Only in America, only in America.’

What kind of nutcase can cry out for freedom across this land of ours while calling for a fence along the property line? It’s sort of like saying that you like the family that lives next door but not inviting them over when you have a cook out.

I mean, I get it that we have too many illegals running across the US/Mexico border everyday, and why wouldn’t they? They get free health care, food stamps, pay no taxes, drink clean water, and have semi-safe street corners to hang out on. As a nation we need to get off our collective asses and find a fix to the problem before we end up like France. But do any of us think a fence is the answer?

What a waste of money. Why not just pay the Minutemen to shoot the illegals when they cross the border? It’s what the Minutemen want to do to start with and in the long run it would be a heck of a lot cheaper too.

The Great American Retail Satan (i.e. Wal-Mart) is at it again.  They’ve resorted to trying to buy local politicians in an effort to nose their way into areas where the citizens don’t want them.  The latest target is a bill in Maryland that would require them to (gasp) provide decent health care packages for employees.  Can you imagine that?

If you need another reason to hate Wal-Mart try this one on for size.  MY MOM told me that the Wal-Mart in her small town will be closing on 31 December 2005.  After 20 plus years in their traditional size market, it seems the store is losing money.  No the employees will not be promised jobs at nearby stores (they have to apply as a new hire) and if they are hired it will be for starting wages, not current wages.  Not only are the 100 or so jobs now gone, but so is the city’s biggest taxpayer.

Well, I’ve been told since I was a little kid that putting things in your mouth would make you sick.  Now there’s proof of that, as sad as it is, courtesy of our Swedish friends.

“You should avoid having oral sex,” dentist and researcher Kerstin Rosenquist, who headed the study.  Certain cases of mouth cancer appear to be caused by a virus that can be contracted during oral sex, media reported, quoting a new Swedish study.
