I’m in ‘The Building’ for the next couple of business days. If Benjamin Bratt or Dennis Hopper are in, I’ll be sure to get their autographs for all of you.
Here’s something to think about until John and Al hit the ABC airwaves tonight. The Redskins have lost two games in a row, and both primarily to the fact that the quarterback can’t hang on to the ball. Last week against the Broncos Brunell got his head rattled and lost the ball a couple of times. This week against the Chiefs the same thing happened. Both weeks he was allowed to stay in the game.
Remember back to the first week of the season when Ramsey had two drops in less than a single half? On one of those drops he had his head taken off, something that has not yet happened to Brunell, yet he was taken out of the game. More accurately, Ramsey was taken out of the season by Coach Gibbs. If Coach is worried about the fumble problem why is he leaving Brunell in?
Kornheiser and Wilbon are both claiming other reasons for the loss, of course. Neither of them can really challenge what is happening with the ‘Skins, but both should know better. When the other team gets 10 points off of your fumbles and you lose by 7, that should say something about the guy dropping the ball. Two weeks in a row.
