1. It is really creepy to get on an empty Metro rail car in the morning and the seat is already warm when you sit down.
  2. When making oatmeal in the office microwave, ‘cup’ is not an approved substitute for ‘bowl’.
  3. Working for the Guard from a warm, safe little cubicle in DC is nice; but there is a part of me that misses the camaraderie of a good field exercise in the muck and the mire.
