TC the Terrible

Did any of you catch the ‘American Guy’ on FOX last night? It had the best line on television delivered from Patrick Stewart.

“Do you have any Gatorade, because I seem to have left all my electrolytes in your daughter?”

Great stuff.

Yesterday was pretty much a bust as far as my NFL picks go. A record of 6 out of 14 is nothing to take to the local bookie. Since any and all information provided is simply for recreation purposes none of you should use my picks as a way to supplement little Johnny’s college fund.

I did predict that the Saints were going to have a lot of emotion to play with at the start of the season and that was borne out yesterday. It won’t get them very far when the wear and tear of every week being a road game begins to take hold. That’s when the real Saints will show up again.

The geriatric Cowboys pulling out a win over the more talented Chargers can only fall into the category of ‘even ugly girls get laid on occasion.’ The Pack looked like they did in the days before Reggie White came to town. Favre is going to have to do better if he expects to end his career on a high note. I think he can, but it will only be worse from here on in. The Niners over Rams was a coin toss from the start. Two bad teams on the field at the same time always is. Losman showed he can win yesterday and who would have guessed that the Chiefs could stump Herm Lewis and the Jets?

Romeo Crennel seems to be a class act in Cleveland, but his team is too far down the ladder in too many areas to expect much in the first year. The Bengals did what they needed to do to win and should be pretty solid for the rest of the year. The Giants looked really impressive until you consider who they were up against. In a division that has the Eagles and the ‘Skins defense young Eli won’t have many weeks as easy as this one again.

That’s enough for now. It’s Monday here in DC and there are at least a couple of work related things for me to get done today.
