A few days ago I spent some time talking about the idiotic people at the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles. The basic point of that rant was that THE WOMAN was born in Germany and her birth certificate had to be green in order to be legal. Well, long story condensed down to the Reader’s Digest version is that she had to go to the State Department to get a new DS-1350, Record of Birth Abroad to satisfy the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles. Guess what color the new form is. It’s RED, and the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles took it without question.

To add to the pain, the good folks at the State Department told THE WOMAN that the form she already had, same form except for the age of it, was absolutely legal and the form that she needed from the start. Insane.

I’ve got a slew of other thoughts to share, but have to wait until later to post them. Lots of things going on in the office today and I need to take care of work first.
