Do you remeber the scene from Office Space where the is talking to the down sizing consultants about what he really does at the company?  It’s the one where he admits to only doing about 15 minutes of real work each week.  Well, this week has been a lot like that for me.  Monday was a holiday and the rest of the week has been a bust.  Two of the guys (my old boss included) are leaving so we’ve done the going away thing for them and that eats up a good bit of the work day.  The head head knockers are at on off site today so there’s no interference from them.

Next week the new boss is on leave all weak.  CZ is out the first three days for no good reason.  JH is off to a 16 week math school.  Which leaves only me in the office.  Should be a really nice change of pace.

We moved to a new rental over the weekend.  Loads of fun let me assure you.  We still have boxes everywhere.  FIRST DAUGHTER FIRST MARRIAGE (FDFM) has been with us since the 4th.  It took her a couple of days to get over the jet lag from flying back from London.  She’s back to being herself finally.  I’m taking the afternoon off today so we can just hang out for a while.
