My promotion orders finally hit. The effective date is back on 19 April, but only now am I getting around to the pinning ceremony. It is completely on my back that it has taken so long to do it. I really didn’t want one to start with. The Division Chief all but ordered me to have a ceremony. In my mind it is not that big of a deal, especially since I’ve been functioning as a field grade for the past couple of years. The biggest thing to me is that I may actually be able to get some calls returned now without having to get my direct supervisor involved.

More fighting and anguish at the house last night. Again the topic was the hell raised by her ex over things that he should not be involved in. I continue to debate over the best fate for him, death or jail. The latter is all but certain and the former is much more fitting.

I’m trying out a service called Flickr to upload photos for the blog. It’s free, and again nothing free is ever worth much more than the price paid. After putting only 31 pictures into the queue I’m at 27% of my monthly usage allowance. Should the traffic on the blog pick up the pictures may disappear. Stay tuned.
