TC the Terrible

But know I’m much better. The pollen is drastically different in DC than it was back in Memphis and spring has really taken its toll on my nose. Last Friday I was a walking sneeze machine and the rest of the office was really ragging me for not taking Claratin or something else for it. I decided to tough it out and let my body adjust. Just as I was about to give in and pop the pills it rained all night long. My golf plans were ruined for the next morning but it was worth it. Now things are back to normal.

Gotta get back to work. The boss is expecting a product at some point this week.

I’ve always had a hard on against the NBA. Basically I think the game is crap and played mostly by thugs at that level. The days of Bird and Magic were probably the last of the truly good pro basketball. There are still a couple of the good guys floating around out there, but mostly it is wanna be rap artists now.

Memphis has a really great guy writing sports columns for the only daily newspaper in town. Geoff Calkins gave up a high dollar lawyer job in DC to move to Alabama and be a sports writer. That’s almost on the level of deciding not to eat because you don’t want to wear socks to work. I’ve had lunch with the guy a couple of times and he’s a down to earth good guy. He’s someone you would go out of your way to play golf with. Now he writes a fair and honest article about the lazy play of one of the Memphis Grizzlies and the ass clown goes after him. Having your pen snatched isn’t like being punched in the face, but it shows the character of the average NBA player.

And that’s how I feel today.
