Kinder and Gentler. Yeah, Right.

Nice weekend and a good start to the week

For those of you (yes both of you) that are looking for regular updates, you are S.O.L. Ask a soldier what that means if you don’t already know.

The boss is in a good mood this week. That on-line dating thing must be working for him. About damn time.

I’ve got a tasker to put together and get approved today. This means I’ll have to actually think about important things and write coherent sentences for the first time in a couple of weeks. The iPod has a full charge and some new stolen songs, so I can get through at least one day of real work. When I first took this job I thought strategic thinking would be more of a full time event. I didn’t realize it had so many days of doing nothing, but not being able to leave the cubicle.

The weather was great this weekend and I had the first of the golf lessons that my wife had bought me. The instructor was one of those crusty old guys that you like from the first minute you talk to him. The facility was outstanding and he basically tore my grip and swing apart so he could re-build them correctly. He also told me to ditch the Ben Hogan approach, which is the first time I’ve been told that one. Anyway, his 30 minute lesson has netted more progress than anything since I first picked up a club. Needless to say, I can’t wait until the next lesson in two weeks.

The wife and I went to dinner and a movie on Sunday night. Hitch is a chick flick, but it’s a good one. Will Smith is funny and the lack of nudity was impressive in its own way. We had a good time but the kids kept calling despite knowing what we were doing. It is amazing that they can not go a full hour without calling just to see if we will answer the line.

We are off to a better start this week than last. I wonder if that has anything to do with going to church Sunday morning? The wife is no longer complaining about not feeling close and the kids are out all week for Spring Break. We’ve got some stuff planned for them this week that should be fun.

I’m taking a couple of days off at the end of the week for sanity’s sake.

Later.

Remind me sometime to tell you about the spousal abuse class I had to endure yesterday.

Quote of the day

The good news for Jackson is if he is in fact convicted, the state of California has agreed to send him to the Valley State Prison for Women.

Tiger Woods, golf playing bigot and general do’er of evil things.

If that tag line won’t get your attention, I don’t know what will. I came across this article today while looking for pictures of Tiger’s wife. Amazing the things you can find when you Google for Elin Nordegren.

House for Sale

The house back in Memphis finally has a renter, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t still buy it. I’m looking to unload this thing in a big way. If you want it, I’ll move it for what I owe on it. That figure is about 10K less than it appraises for so we should be good to go.

Let me know.
