Update on the Boy
Well, the marble went down the back of his sinus cavity and into his throat. From there it was swallowed and should emerge coated, but unharmed in a few days. Not that we are going to try to recover it or anything. He’s back in day care today and doing just fine.
The ENT docs at Bethesda were great about it. They let the boy watch the rhinoscope on the monitor and it was pretty dang cool. He took it like a champ. There were some whimpers and growls but not a lot else. He squeezed the hell out of my finger and sneezed a couple of times. Other than that, it was like they were checking his eyes or something.
The wife brought the girls into town today with her and we all had lunch. It was a great break in the day. Just what I needed.
